Services and Offerings

Convenience is a major reason to choose Rutgers as your conference site. A professional conference coordinator will assist with all of the logistical arrangements for your conference.

When considering use of university facilities, it is important to understand that the University is not a hotel, and cannot provide hotel-like accommodations and amenities. Groups that choose Rutgers as a conference site utilize student housing, student dining halls and student classrooms.

Conferences are booked with the understanding that participants attend the entire conference. There are no credits or refunds given for participants who choose to limit their stay.

Registration/Checkout Services

On-site registration will be scheduled in the lobby of the residence hall assigned to your group. Conference Services will provide registration and checkout assistance in the form of distributing and collecting keys, access cards and meal identification. Vehicle information for parking can also be documented upon arrival, unless provided in advance to expedite check-in.

Meeting Space

Livingston Student CenterClassrooms, lecture halls and auditoriums are located on each campus.  In addition, Rutgers has five Student Centers to serve each campus population. These bright, modern facilities provide a wide range of services from the rental of conference rooms and multipurpose rooms to food courts and game rooms. Most of the university’s athletic facilities are located on the Busch and Livingston Campuses; however, each campus has its own gymnasium or recreation center.

Public areas within the residence halls such as lounges and multipurpose rooms can be used as meeting space by the programs assigned to that building. Requests for use of public areas must be made in advance through your Conference Coordinator.

Due to high demand, availability of meeting space is not guaranteed and should be requested as far in advance as possible.
