Rates and Billing 2026-2027
Residence Life serves the needs of over 15,000 residents who study, live, and play in around 140 buildings on four campuses in New Brunswick and Piscataway. To support one of the country’s largest student housing operations, Residence Life builds community, supports diversity, provides leadership opportunities to residents, responds to individual and community issues, and enables academic success through our efforts in the residence halls.
Breaks are University determined Winter and Spring recess periods. All halls remain open during the Thanksgiving recess period but certain halls close during Winter and Spring.
Below are the 2026-2027 rates. Annual rates are approved by the Board of Governors. Not all rate combinations are listed below. These are the most popular for you to use as a budgeting guide. For specific questions about your housing charge please email hsgbill@rutgers.edu
For a single semester, estimate that rates will be one half of the listed rate.
