Where can I find information about the terms and conditions for living on-campus?

You can review information on residence hall guidelines and terms and conditions via our residence hall guidelines website.

Where can I find "Proof of Residency" information? 

If you need “proof of residency” documentation to show proof that you live on campus, please go to your housing portal at oncampus.rutgers.edu and complete the request form. Within a few days, an Assignments Team staff person will reach out with letter/documentation. More information about Proof of Residency or NJ Tuition Eligibility can be found via the Admissions’ website.

How do I submit a work order for maintenance in my on-campus apartment?

You can submit a work order online.

Where can I learn more information about renter's insurance?

For information about renter’s insurance, please visit the Department of Risk Management and Insurance website.

Can my spouse and/or dependent get a Rutgers ID card?

Yes! Residents/live-in family members of students living in family housing are eligible to get a Rutgers ID card and net id. Please email Residence Life at oncampus@rutgers.edu to learn more information and begin the process.

Where can I find groceries and other essentials?

We recommend using Google Maps to locate supermarkets and other stores close to campus. Here are some suggested stores and chains in Piscataway, New Brunswick, and the surrounding area.

General Groceries: Shoprite, Stop & Shop, Aldi, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s

Asian Groceries: Asian Food Market, 99 Ranch, H-Mart, Patel Brother’s, Kam Man Food, Indian Grocery Outlet

Halal Groceries: Supreme Halal Meat & Grocery, Shaan Halal Meat, Mars Halal Market

General Stores: Target, Walmart, Kohl’s, Lowe’s Home Improvement

Pharmacies: CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreen’s, Stop & Shop

Where do I find information about parking on-campus?

Where can I get my mail and what is my mailing address?

Mailing services vary based on where you live.

Busch Campus Mail

Buell & Johnson residents receive mail/packages at the Busch Student Center.

What address should I use to get groceries/foods delivered OR a ride share?

Please utilize the Rutgers Campus Map for an address to your building for grocery delivery, take out delivery, or taxi/ride share service. Any non-grocery packages or mail should go through the campus mail process.
