The Entrepreneurship and Innovation LLC invites first-year students who embrace and thrive on creativity, innovation and big ideas, to immerse themselves in entrepreneurship. This community will provide you the opportunity to take an idea from conception to a business plan. It will allow you to create the mindset and the networks to gain a head start in your entrepreneurship journey. The community will also provide mini-grant funding for projects and business ventures.

More About Livingston Campus
Students accepted into the community will live in Quad III Residence Hall on the Livingston Campus. Quads offer study rooms, laundry facilities, kitchens, house lounges, as well as a main lounge. The Livingston Quads have lots of green space surrounding them and are adjacent to the Livingston Recreation Center, near Livingston Student Center, Livingston Dining Hall, and walking distance to the Louis Brown Athletic Center (RAC), the Rutgers Cinema, and the newly constructed Livingston Plaza.

  • REQUIRED Exclusive Entrepreneurship Track as part of the immersive leadership retreat Discovery Program, August 25-August 27 – A three day, two night immersion experience in various on and off campus locations which allows students to meet industry leaders and community partners.

To be eligible, students must:

Open to first-year students affiliated with SAS, SEBS, RBS

Mandatory Early Move-In and Special Orientation

Students enrolled in the program will get the added advantage of being able to move in early and participate in a special orientation program in August.  This will provide new students the chance to get familiar with the bus system, find their classes in advance, and explore and adjust to the Rutgers Campus.

Full participation and engagement in all program experiences including events and trips sponsored by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Living-Learning Community.

  • Fall: Students will be enrolled in:
    • Introduction to Entrepreneurship for 3 credits
  • Spring: Students will be enrolled in:
    • Rutgers Entrepreneurship Academy of Leadership (REAL) for 1 credit

Students will have exclusive access to sections of these classes.

There is a two-part process in order to apply for this community:

  1. You MUST register the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Living-Learning Community as your first choice on the online housing application on the Enrollment Pathway
  2. Complete an Entrepreneurship and Innovation LLC Application.
