College Avenue is a vibrant campus adjacent to downtown New Brunswick with theaters and restaurants, student-friendly shopping and nightlife, and the NJ Transit train station. The campus hosts traditional residence halls, some along the Raritan River, and two modern apartment buildings for upper class and transfer residents.  The College Avenue Campus also features the brand new Honors College Building.  Of the four campuses, College Avenue houses the smallest portion of first year students. Busch Campus offers easy access to Werblin Recreation Center, the Rutgers football stadium, intramural fields, and class and lab space for the Schools of Engineering and Pharmacy.  Busch is home to traditional first-year residence halls, suite-style living, and apartments for both undergraduate and graduate students.  Several special living options are offered at Busch, especially for students with interest in engineering and technology. Cook Campus is the home of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences as well as the institute of Marine and Costal Sciences and the beautiful Rutgers Gardens.  Traditional residence halls are spread across Cook’s wooded acres and green fields.  Cook also houses upper class and graduate students in garden-style apartments.

In addition to some co-ed housing options, Douglass Campus is home to Douglass Residential College (DRC), which offers women the opportunity to live in single-gender residence halls and apartments. The DRC prepares undergraduate women for success in an increasingly diverse, competitive, and global public arena. Douglass women also have several special living options with the DRC, including for STEM majors and women interested in global advocacy and awareness.

Livingston Campus is a lively, active, suburban campus with a downtown feel. It has a large first year population in traditional residence halls as well as apartment style living for upper class students. Gathering places at Livingston have included the recently renovated student center, two coffeehouses in the halls, a residence hall media and gaming center, and a fountain area popular for outdoor activities in nice weather.
