IMG_9775One of the best ways to get immersed in the Rutgers experience is to get in touch with your community and get involved with the Residence Hall Association (RHA). RHA is the largest on-campus organization at Rutgers and is the largest such organization in the country, representing over 16,400 on-campus students. By getting involved in RHA, you will have the opportunity to directly impact your neighbors and fellow residents in your hall, suite, apartment, and general community.

What does RHA do? RHA conducts fun in-hall programming, advocates for student residents, and supports other residents to have positive experiences on-campus. In recent years, RHA has helped improve the on-campus experience by making sure that residence halls get wireless Internet, improving spaces for programming, and providing more opportunities for floors and residence halls to bond through activities.

As a member of RHA, you get the satisfaction of making a difference in your hall. But you also get real leadership experience. Whether you are a floor representative, president of your hall, or a member of the RHA executive board, you will learn how to make your voice heard to make sure that your fellow students are supported at Rutgers. You’ll also get to participate in leadership development events and workshops, where you’ll learn more about yourself and how to make a difference in your life and career after college.
