Tinsley is a traditional residence hall erected in 1962. It is named for the generous and benefactor John F. Tinsley (1880-1952). Tinsley was an Alumni Trustee of Rutgers University (1932-1939) and a trustee of the university (1939-1952). It is located on "Bishop Beach", at the center of College located near 12 other Residence Halls on College Ave, making one feel connected with their community! Is also adjacent to the Rutgers Student Center, Gym and the Au Bon Pain, a social center for students
