Cook Campus is the home of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences as well as the institute of Marine and Costal Sciences and the beautiful Rutgers Gardens.  Traditional residence halls are spread across Cook’s wooded acres and green fields.  Cook also houses upper class and graduate students in garden-style apartments.

In addition to some co-ed housing options, Douglass Campus is home to Douglass Residential College (DRC), which offers women the opportunity to live in single-gender residence halls and apartments. The DRC prepares undergraduate women for success in an increasingly diverse, competitive, and global public arena. Douglass women also have several special living options with the DRC, including for STEM majors and women interested in global advocacy and awareness.

International Students: Students should go to their buildings to check in.

All first-year and transfer students in the following communities, regardless of Douglass Residential College (DRC) affiliation should go to their buildings to check in:

  • Woodbury-Bunting Cobb (First-year and transfer students ONLY)

  • Jameson Hall (First-year and transfer students ONLY)

* If you are a first-year or transfer Douglass Residential College (DRC) student and your residence hall is NOT listed above, you will still move in on Thursday, August 31 but must pick up your key at your corresponding campus office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.:

Due to the Rutgers Football game, there will be no designated move-ins on Friday, September 1.

Please be advised that there may be road closures and/or special traffic patterns in the New Brunswick and Piscataway area. Parking lots (especially on Busch and Livingston Campuses) may be closed and unavailable.

Students should go to their buildings to check in. Students in the Newell and Starkey apartments should go to Lot 99D to check in, at the entrance to the Starkey Apartments’ quad. There will be tents set up on the sidewalk along Lot 99D.
