Attention New Students!!
Lottery information is only for continuing Rutgers students and incoming Spring 2016 transfer students. New Fall 2016 incoming students do not apply for housing through this lottery process. Please wait for your online housing application, which will be delivered to you via e-mail.

The sophomore housing guarantee will be phased in over the next few years to minimize the impact on any individual class year by gradually increasing the number of on-campus spaces reserved for sophomores. The goal by year three is to guarantee housing for all rising sophomores who apply for housing during the 2017-2018 lottery process.
To participate in the Fall 2016 lottery process, all students must apply for a lottery number beginning Monday, January 18th through Wednesday, January 27th. Residents may not participate in any sign up process (including Douglass Residential College , SAS Honors, and other special programs) without a lottery number.
Click on the Housing Options link above to review the various housing options available during the lottery. To apply, simply follow the detailed instructions for the housing process you choose, within the time-frames posted.
Refer to the calendar for important dates, times and deadlines. You will not be able to participate in a process if you do not complete the necessary steps within the indicated timelines.
